Sacramento Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The 2010 Sacramento Regional Science & Engineering Fair is a fun and exciting way for middle and high school students in the greater Sacramento region to go beyond their classroom studies. The Fair allows students to put their skills to the test in the fields of engineering, computer science, environmental science, medicine & health, chemistry and many other categories.

The Fair consistently produces winners who go on to compete in other state and national competitions, including the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair and the California State Science Fair.

These students, with the help of dedicated teachers, parents and volunteers, will become our future engineers, scientists, technology experts and mathematicians.

ASCE members are reminded that judges are needed for the upcoming regional science and engineering fair! To learn more, contact Lisa Marie Burcar at (916) 441-3150 or lburcar@srsefair.org or visit the Science Fair web site to sign up for judging at www.srsefair.org.

Judges are expected to attend a mandatory orientation at Rosemont High School Friday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. that will include a free dinner catered by Griselda’s. Orientation will provide judges with an explanation of the guidelines and evaluation criteria for judging projects and a review of the judging score sheets. Judges will also receive their project assignments and given the opportunity to do a preliminary review of projects. Judging will commence Saturday, March 27 at 8:00 a.m.
