Description: HDR Engineering is searching for a Structural Engineer who is capable of performing design assignments for small to large governmental, military, municipal and industrial facilities. Primary duties include working as part of multi-discipline design teams during all phases of a project including design development through completion of construction documents and administrative support during construction. The position will be within the ASMEC (Architecture Structural Mechanical Electrical & Civil) Section located in Folsom, California. The ASMEC Section is involved in the design of facilities projects for the following business groups: Water, Federal Environmental Resource Management and Transportation. Inter-office collaboration with other HDR ASMEC design centers will include participation on virtual design and quality control teams. Keyword(s): Structural Engineer

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Registration in California as a Professional Engineer. 7+ years experience in facilities design. Position requires high level graphic, verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of all building systems (structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communications) and site systems (civil, utilities, infrastructure) design and their design discipline requirements. Position requires frequent client contact and periodic travel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Proficiency with AutoCAD 2005 or more current releases Proficiency with SAP2000, PCA Programs and Enercalc

Sr. Geotechnical Engineer

We provide these services for the U.S. federal government, national governments of other countries, state and local government agencies in the United States and internationally, FORTUNE 500 companies, and other multinational corporations. URS has approximately 45,000 employees in a network of offices in more than 30 countries. We’re currently looking for a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer for our Sacramento, CA office.

Minimum Requirements:

•  MS in geotechnical engineering or geological engineering
•  6 years experience in geotechnical engineering
•  California PE required
•  Experience in geotechnical analysis and modeling
•  Task management experience
•  Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to project personnel and clients
•  Driver's license and satisfactory driving record
•  Health and Safety conscious

Position Description:

Candidate would manage task orders and serve as technical lead for teams performing engineering investigation and analyses, and preparation of reports, plans, and specifications. Candidate would assist project managers, and manage and mentor technical staff and teams. Candidate would progress on career track to manage large task orders and projects.
