Pal Hegedus, P.E., D.WRE, is a Vice President of RBF Consulting, A Baker Company, in charge of the Water Resources Department in the Sacramento office. He recently served as Chair of the Flood Plain Management Association (FMA). In 2006, the FMArecognized Pal as Floodplain Manager of the Year. Mr. Hegedus wasalso awarded the prestigious Knight's Cross Merit of the Republic of Hungary Award - Hungary's sixth-highest civilian honor - recognizinghis contributions in introducing advanced floodplain management and modeling techniques to local agencies, and his work with staff and students at the Technical University of Budapest. Pal completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and his graduate studies in Water Resources Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.Mr. Hegedus is an inaugural founding Diplomate of American Academy of Water Resources Engineers since 2005.
