The Sacramento Section Geo-Institute (SSGI) is the local geotechnical specialty chapter of the Sacramento Section of ASCE. The purpose of the SSGI is locally promote an interest in and the general advancement of engineering knowledge in the fields of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering and related earth sciences.

Our goals are to:

  • Serve the local members of the SSGI and other participants in the geo-industry.
  • Promote our profession: recruit new members, educational outreach
  • Encourage open communication amongst peers and colleagues
  • Help define and improve the local “standard of care” through communication, development and dissemination of knowledge and technology.
  • Network with other geo-industry professional organizations

Membership in the SSGI is FREE provided you are a current member of ASCE and have chosen the Geo-Institute as your practice area institute.
